Holiday Wrap-Up

We had a wonderful holiday season, celebrating Thanksgiving, Great Grandma VanUtrecht’s 90th birthday, Christmas, and Morgan’s birthday. And, all our photos can be viewed on Facebook by clicking right here. I’m taking the lazy way out, but they are already posted and have captions telling the stories of our holiday adventures. Enjoy! (To view the photos and read the captions, click on one of the photos.)

Fall Foto Fun

I’m tempted to stop catching up on blog posts, simply because all these photos from warmer days just seem evil. It feels like it’s below zero for the second day in a row. It is supposed to be a balmy 34 on Friday! I think we’ll pull out our shorts! ha ha! 🙂

For now, here’s a little photo show of two girls and a pile of leaves.

Last Chance Sale!

It’s a going out of business, last chance sale over at our first website The site still gets a few clicks, usually from people headed to this site. So, if that’s how you find this site, go ahead and bookmark this page instead. We’ll be closing up shop over there as soon as we get all of the info saved. We can’t just part with all those recorded memories! And, in Mom’s wildest dreams and imagination, she thinks she might even try to turn the old stuff into photo books. This should happen by the year 2077. 😉

And, if you ever get tired of waiting for my random posts, you can subscribe to this blog by scrolling down along the right side for the “Email Subscriptions” sign up.

Who is that kid?

We have received many comments over the last six months (or so) about people hardly recognizing Andrew. Apparently he has changed a lot in recent months. We did go with a shorter haircut, but maybe he’s just growing up.

His school pictures (L to R) from Preschool, Kindergarten and 1st Grade tell the story pretty well. (Well, other than a somewhat “deer-in-the-headlights” look from this year’s picture. Tee hee!)

What do you think?

Beautiful Girls!

I have failed to get Morgan’s 4-year and Paige’s 18-month photos taken by anyone, so I decided to try to take some myself. It was a lot of fun doing our little photo shoot. We took some in Oskaloosa and some in Pella. The weather could not have been more perfect. The only glitch was that I had a low battery on my camera to start with. That turned out to be OK, as I got plenty of shots, and when the battery died I could just enjoy the day without trying to photograph everything. I took 130 some pictures. I think I enjoy most that their personalities were captured in the photos. Here are some of my favorites:

This one is more to show her shoes. Some battles are not worth fighting. Especially when you want your child to be happy for a photo shoot! 😉
